Hourik Torossian studied Fine Arts at the United Kingdom, graduating from Wimbledon School of Fine Arts with a BA in Painting (Honours). She went on to receive a Master’s in Fine Arts from London’s Royal College of Art.
Since her graduation in 1994 she has been an active artist, having staged exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece, the United Kingdom and Germany.
In 2005 she represented Cyprus in a series of exhibitions set in Austria on the work of artists from the ten new member states of the European Union. In 2006 and 2008 she participated in the Art of the Stitch International Biennale, based in the United Kingdom and touring across Europe.
She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Arts of Frederick University, Nicosia. Her most recent solo exhibition, in 2010, was hosted in Argo Gallery, Nicosia, titled Colour and Symmetry.
She has been an active member of “Cypriot Print makers” since 2016.
